Week of January 16-20, 2016

Mighty Falcons,

We had a productive start for the beginning of your second halves of your 6th grade careers.

I can already tell who has matured over the holidays and was 100% ready to overcome all new challenges that await this new semester. Remember that this semester requires a lot more work and dedication because before we know it the Math STAAR will be here on May 8, 2017,

We have a lot of work to do and I do not expect you to disappoint me. I am always available for extra help and will continue to see students during recess for math enrichment. If you have questions, just ASK. We are here to help you and I know you will succeed if you work hard.

This week we will begin to work with Distance, time, and rates. We will also go on to Measurement Conversions.  Try your best to be at school everyday so that you do not fall behind.

Extra Credit: Why do we use the customary system in the United States as opposed to the Metric System? (1-page essay).

Try your best not to be absent from school.
Be the Best you can possibly be.
