Week 4 of the 5th Six Weeks

       Falcons, we just finished covering geometric concepts and will now transition to Topic 15: Graphical Representations of Data.

Throughout Topic 15 you  will be able to:
  1. develop an initial understanding of statistical variability;
  2. select an appropriate representation for presenting data from circle graphs, bar graphs, stem-and-leaf plots, and histograms;
  3. use appropriate representations for displaying data and investigate the relationships between the various representations;
  4. justify their decisions around representing data through explanation, work products, or class discussion.
Watch Video below this post learn more about our math lesson.

Image result for quotes about success

Mighty Falcons,

      I hope everyone had a relaxing spring break, alongside, making many new memories with friends and family by staying "unplugged."

This week we will
  • model and apply the formulas for area of rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids, and for volume of rectangular prisms;
  • develop a formula for the area of a regular polygon;
  • determine areas of irregular shapes and special quadrilaterals by decomposing and rearranging them into rectangles;
  • generate conversions for length and area;
  • solve problems involving the volume of rectangular prisms and area of triangles and quadrilaterals—where dimensions are positive rational numbers—by writing and solving equations.

     District benchmark #2 will be on April 10, 2018, so let's work hard to strive for success and work toward full academic progression. Ask for help when need be and remember that hard work pays off.

Reminders:
Attendance Counts!
Do good!
