 WEEK OF JANUARY 9-13, 2017

Mighty Falcons,

Welcome to the second half of your 6th grade careers.  I hope you've enjoyed the holidays to the max and have made many special memories with family and friends.  This is the time to focus on your goals and work on your personal and academic new year's resolutions.

I am very proud to be your teacher and I know you will give it your all inside and outside the classroom. This semester requires intensive dedication and determination in order to be successful

This week we will shortly review how to multiply and divide fractions and begin our math lesson on dividing decimals. STAAR  will be here before you know it so we must be prepared. Stay alert and ask questions when in need. I'm available for recess tutoring just make sure you get a recess pass.

Check out the following video to get ahead of the game.

Reminders:
Try your best not to be absent.
Be the best individual you can be.
Stay Alert!

Dear Falcons,

I cannot believe there is only one more week before the end of the first semester. You have worked hard and I know you will continue to always strive for the best. I am very proud of each of you and remember to always continue to practice your math on a daily basis.

I did not see some classes last week so make sure you turn in missing assignments that you have not turned in.  Stay alert and focused this last week before the holidays.  Always ask for help if need be.

This week we will begin dividing fractions and positive rational numbers. Check this video to get ahead of the game.

Extra Credit: Write down key points and vocabulary on an extra sheet of paper; turn in to me by Wednesday.

Donate a toy by December 14. Remember it feels better to give than to receive.
