April 3-7, 2017





Hello Falcons!


        Welcome to the last week of the six weeks. I cannot believe we are about to enter the last six weeks next week. I must say the year is flying before our eyes. After going over Math District Benchmark #2 Data, I noticed objectives that have not been taught were what affected some of your test grades. I am especially proud of all students who earned a Level III grade, keep up the good work.  This week you will be taking your six weeks tests for Science, History, and Writing, make sure to prepare so that you excel. 

This week we will be adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying integers using number lines and integer chips, together, with computations. If time permits we will begin working with triangle relationships.

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY. Watch the following videos and design a 3-Dimensional Object with 4 sides (one for each operation) with an example using a number line, integer chips, and basic computation on each.  Be Neat and Creative. Due By Thursday, April 6, 2017.  I will not accept messy projects.

Mighty Falcons.

        Welcome to the 5th week of the six weeks! This week is District Benchmark #2 Week and I know we have greatly prepared for these tests with a lot of hard work and dedication. You must read all questions carefully and work out all your strategies for a better chance to select the correct answer.
We are almost done with all our math lessons so we can better review for  the STAAR test on Monday, May 8, 2017. Remember to continue coming to tutorials every Saturday for continued Math Enrichment. Once we are done with the benchmarks we will begin to work with subtracting integers.

Week of March 20-24, 2017

Dear Falcons,

       
        I hope you have spent quality time with friends and family during your spring break. Remember your homework was to go over your notes and log into Agilemind to review for the District Benchmark which will be on March 28, 2017, but I especially asked you to make many special memories with your families and to lay off your electronic devices and go learn something new. 


         This week we will Begin Topic 10 which is Equations and Inequalities, we will begin to write one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities to represent constraints or conditions within problems, represent solutions for one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities on number lines, write corresponding real-world problems given one-variable, one-step equations or inequalities, model and solve one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities that represent problems, including geometric concepts, determine if the given value(s) make(s) one-variable, one-step equations or inequalities true.


         Try your very best to be at school everyday so that you do not miss out. Tutorials will resume on March, 25, 2017. Our goal is to earn a Level III performance on your district benchmark which is an 81 or above. Let's try our best on the test!

Week of March 6-10, 2017

Mighty Falcons,

         I am very proud to say I have enjoyed watching many of you grow and progress as the year has gone by. Last week was a successful week because we didn't waste time and conquered all the lessons with ease. Remember our District Benchmark #2 will be on Tuesday March 28th, so we must ensure you practice and go over all your materials, notes, Agilemind online etc. so that we are fully prepared for DBM#2. 

       This week we will begin to write one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities to represent constraints or conditions within problems, represent solutions for one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities on number lines, write corresponding real-world problems given one-variable, one-step equations or inequalities, model and solve one-variable, one-step equations and inequalities that represent problems, including geometric concepts, determine if the given value(s) make(s) one-variable, one-step equations or inequalities true. Try your very best to be at school everyday so that you do not miss out. Tutorials will resume on Saturday, March 25, remember transportation  and 2 meals are provided. 


Reminders:
Spring Break is next week so let's give it our all this week.
Recess Math Practice everyday except for Tuesdays because I have duty.
