Week of December 8-12, 2014
THIS WEEK IN HONORS MATH WE WILL BE WORKING WITH PROPORTIONS. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE MANY OF YOU DUE TO THE HISTORY AND SCIENCE TESTS ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY BUT MAKE SURE YOU STAY ALERT ON THE DAYS WE DO SEE EACH OTHER.
WE WILL HAVE A SHORT 3RD SIX WEEKS TEST ON THURSDAY AND OF COURSE YOU KNOW THAT OUR BENCHMARK IS ON DECEMBER 16, 2014! REMEMBER WE HAVE A TRIP TO THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS PAN AMERICAN THE DAY BEFORE, SO MAKE SURE YOU COME BACK ON TEST MODE THE FOLLOWING DAY.
OUR CHRISTMAS BREAK IS FAST APPROACHING SO MAKE SURE ALL ASSIGNMENTS ARE TURNED IN! YOU ALL HAVE BEEN DOING BETTER AND IT'S JUST A MATTER OF BEING RESPONSIBLE!
CCS CLASS:
Remember to practice the "Thinking Positive" activities and methods on a daily basis! We sure had a fun time this week practicing being positive and working together as one! I will SURE miss this class, you guys are great and I am sure you will be very successful in college one day! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!
This upcoming week you will be presenting the 3 people you interviewed outside of school final project. Remember to include facts and details about each person's college experience.

The following pictures include students playing LET'S MAKE A DEAL game on unit rates using answer buzzards. They were all very competitive and couldn't keep those pencils down!
In our CCS class we wrote positive notes about each other behind our backs, students had much insight on this activity and even mentioned they felt "tingly" feelings in their stomachs because it made them feel positive and extremely happy!
