I hope everyone had a relaxing spring break, alongside, making many new memories with friends and family by staying "unplugged."
This week we will
- model and apply the formulas for area of rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids, and for volume of rectangular prisms;
- develop a formula for the area of a regular polygon;
- determine areas of irregular shapes and special quadrilaterals by decomposing and rearranging them into rectangles;
- generate conversions for length and area;
- solve problems involving the volume of rectangular prisms and area of triangles and quadrilaterals—where dimensions are positive rational numbers—by writing and solving equations.
District benchmark #2 will be on April 10, 2018, so let's work hard to strive for success and work toward full academic progression. Ask for help when need be and remember that hard work pays off.
